The next GCFOA meeting will take
place at the Sahib Shrine. (600 North Beneva Road, Sarasota). Please
park in the rear of the building and remain outside of the meeting area

Officials
We are currently looking to recruit officials-- no experience is
necessary. Check out our New
Officials page for frequently asked questions and details on
what it takes be a football official! Anyone interested in joining the
Association should email
newref@gcfoa.org for information. You
can download the 2010 GCFOA
Recruitment Flyer to post at work or in your neighborhood to
help us recruit new officials.
Plans for 2010 Season
The Board is working hard this off-season, in regards to evaluations,
training plans, committees, crews, and reviewing DVD's. Meeting dates
and important FHSAA dates (registration, exams and field clinics) on
now posted on the Calendar page.

Fitness Program
High school players get bigger and faster every year. It is more
important than ever that each of us in good physical condition to
properly call the games. It takes a dedicated off-season workout
program to be at the top of our game. Make sure that you find the time
to improve your conditioning this year.

and Flexibility with Roanoke College faculty, Dr. John Creasy and Jim
Buriak. Both are experts in the field of sports fitness and training

officials with respect to flexibility and agility. The professors share
their tips and secrets on how to prepare and train like a world class
athlete. Their advice is priceless and can give you the advantage you
might need to separate yourself from your officiating competition.
